Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Houston is developed by Zentto. For privacy questions or requests, write to hello@houstonapp.space.

2. Data we process

• Account data, such as name, email, Apple or Google sign-in identifiers and profile picture when provided by the provider.
• Content created in the app, including tasks, reminders, lists, dates, categories, focus sessions and photos you choose.
• Text sent to the AI assistant. By default we log technical metadata and a hash of the text; raw content is only stored when that option is enabled in the service.
• Subscription and purchase data provided by Apple and processed by RevenueCat, such as the product purchased and the subscription status. We never receive your card number.
• Technical data required for security, diagnostics and running the service, such as IP address, crashes and performance.
• If you allow it on the website, Google Analytics collects browsing and device data, such as pages visited, interactions, browser and approximate location derived from the IP address. Analytics is not loaded before your consent.
• Google Calendar events, only if you connect your Google account in Menu → Work meetings: title, start and end time, calendar name and video-call link of the events in the calendars you have visible. Houston reads them only to show them on your calendar and does not store them; see section 6.
• A one-time confirmation code, sent to your email when you sign up with email and password, to confirm that the address belongs to you.

3. How we use data

We use data to create and protect your account, sync content across installs, deliver reminders, process the AI features you request, recognize subscription benefits, provide support, prevent fraud and improve the reliability of the app.

4. Services that help us

We share only the necessary data with providers that operate parts of the service, such as Apple and Google for sign-in, Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions, Google Analytics when you allow it on the website, infrastructure providers and AI providers configured by Houston. These providers process data under their own terms and contractual obligations. We use Google Calendar, when you connect it, to show your events, and Resend to send transactional emails such as confirmation codes.

5. Photos, notifications and on-device data

Access to the camera or photo library happens only after your choice and permission. Notifications and alarms are scheduled for the reminders you request. Some content is stored locally so the app can work and sync; it is removed from the device when you delete your account or sign out.

6. Google user data

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and only happens when you tap “Connect Google Calendar” and approve it on Google's screen. Houston requests read-only access (calendar.readonly) and never creates, edits or deletes anything in your calendar.

• What we access: the events of the calendars you have visible in Google Calendar, for the period shown on Houston's calendar screen: title, start and end time, whether it is all-day, the calendar name and the video-call link. Cancelled events and events you declined are ignored.
• How we use it: only to display these events to you inside Houston, next to your tasks. Events are fetched when you open the calendar and are not stored on our servers or saved to your device's database.
• What we store: only the authorization token Google issues for this access, encrypted on our servers, so the calendar can be read without asking you to sign in again.
• What we do not do: we do not sell Google data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI models and do not share it with third parties. No person at Houston reads it, except with your explicit consent (for example, in a support request), for security reasons or when required by law.
• How to disconnect: in Menu → Work meetings → Disconnect, which revokes the access and deletes the token. You can also remove Houston at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting your account revokes it as well.

Houston's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep data while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You can delete your account inside the app under Menu → Delete my account. Deletion removes data linked to your account from active systems, except where limited retention is required by law, security or fraud prevention.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, portability, information about sharing, objection or deletion of data, as provided by applicable law, including Brazil's LGPD and, where applicable, the GDPR. Send your request to hello@houstonapp.space. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

9. Security and transfers

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect data. Some providers may process it outside Brazil; in those cases we rely on the applicable legal mechanisms. No system is entirely free of risk.

10. Children

Houston is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

11. Website, cookies and measurement

The Houston website uses strictly necessary local storage to remember your language and privacy preferences. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure visits and understand how the site is used. Google Analytics is not loaded before you accept. You can decline without losing any site feature and change your choice at any time through the “Cookies” link in the footer.

12. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the product or in the law. The date at the top indicates the current version; relevant changes will be communicated appropriately.
